Looking for South American doctor

Hi,

We're trying to find a paediatrician anywhere near Luzern, such as zug etc as we're will to travel. But specifically one which is either originally from Spain or a south American country. If anyone knows of one please let me know thank you! - basically we think western doctors aren't as good so just want the best for the baby!

You're 24 hours too late I think.

Or 24 hours too early. One or the other!

If anyone knows of an actual south American paediatrician please let me know.

Does she have to be Spanish speaking, or would a Brazilian be acceptable too?

I'm a bit confused by this comment. Aren't both Spanish and South American doctors also western doctors?

Last I heard Spain was considered a Western nation, and geographically speaking, even South America...though in the southern hemisphere.

Where does your fantastic doctor hail from?

Brazil would be great too thank you very much.

The reason I'm asking is because doctors outlook and understanding in US UK and Switzerland, they're completely different than in other countries, doctors from other countries look into finding a root of the problem rather give you general non specific answers! Just our experience nothing personal against doctors..

Don't take this personally people it's a simple question about a doctors. It's a cultural thing, nothing against western based doctors.

The you have seen the wrong doctors. Definitely not my experience.

And again, if anyone actually has a paediatrician or doctor from South America or Spain please let me know. Myself and wife would be really thankful to you as have a baby that is ill currently so would like to get it resolved.

If you don't have this information, find something better to do today on this holiday weekend!

Sorry, but South American doctors aren't permitted to prectice here.

Tom

If your child is ill and needs a doctor, go to a doctor and do not wait here if someone maybe knows one in Schaffhausen or Geneva. That is what you maybe could better do on this holiday weekend?

I'll wait. Again, there will be many doctors that originate from South America (or Spain) in Switzerland. If you have one, please let me know we would appreciate it thank you.

No, not many, as it takes a lot of paperwork to practice here, if you haven ́t had your training in Switzerland......

Yes, we got the message. You want to risk the health of your child? Go to see a doctor if it needs one.

I was trying to be polite. Obviously we've seen a doctor but unfortunately they're shit here hence we want one from abroad. An no i don't believe there's not a south American or Spanish doctor here!!

You weren ́t polite. You were clearly telling that all non south american/spanish doctors here are no good.

A few years back the hospital in Nyon had many French-Canadian medical staff, as well as some from South America, I believe most were here doing their "stage", and learning the Swiss method when practicing medicine and treatment. What I am trying to say is that if you find one here, they will probably be carrying out their profession the Swiss way.

Anyhow, have a look at this link and see if it helps you search, make sure you add Spanish as the language spoken to get a list of doctors with Spanish or Italian (for doctors born in Argentina and Uruguay) names.

Good luck.

the background is probably something like the OP being disappointed in Swiss doctors not giving antibiotics for viral diseases.

No, there won't be.

Germany, Italy, France, sure.
