Ladies...Don't you know high waists are sooooo in? Haha, I gota laugh, designers are nuts. I must say it only looks good on good pair of legs and really sleek heels, no matter how big the potential muffin would be, if you pair with with something smart. I got me a pair of crazy high waist Kookai for 20fr when they had a massive discount, it is nicely odd looking. Nothing motherly. No front pockets, though, and 30 sit-ups needed every night. Ugh.
I have been very happy for two years with H&M pair of darkish blue (faded nicely to give a super slimming efect on thighs and butt) jeans called STAR, they were only 60fr, are warm, sleek and look good with any shoes eventhough they are slightly boot-cut. If you get yourself a proper size, no muffins and no momsy sloppiness.
I also got a pair of darkish Fornarina pair, they fit nicely and have no lycra (lycra in pants irriates me, it makes the jeans hike up no matter what, they are usually thiner, too).
I adore my H&M classic jeans. As you said, the dark wash just fades in such a flattering way. Next pair of jeans is going to be another pair. And I'm one of those girls with short legs, huge hips, and no rear to speak of, so if I find a good pair of jeans, I'm ecstatic.
Well, I don't have mom jeans, but I have dog jeans.... I usually find dog treats, and poop bags (empty of course) in the pockets, paw prints, and if I'm really lucky, the dog has dragged them around the house a couple of times because I left them lying on the floor in the closet.
And, ok, but I can't wear jeans with heels. Of course, I hate wearing heels. Maybe some boots, but no heels. Sigh. Am style deprived, am afraid. Alas.
I agree and the name on the other side- a bit crass but the fit is good. But quite honestly save the money on expensive jeans- get a good kickboxing tape after that pretty much anything can look good. Even if there is a little bit of pudge, if it is shapely pudge who cares especially if you are young?
Also when you are in the car put some but crunching music on and clench your buttocks in time to the beat for the whole trip, while pulling in the stomach. OK I'm done going off-topic
Thanks for the links! Sorry for going OT, but I've been doing my Taebo tapes which I really like, but it gets boring after a while and I would like to try something else. Does anyone have any good recommendations?
Well, the upside to it is if ladies are sporting all these 80's revival accessories, nobody will be looking at their muffin tops.
I read an article that Victoria Beckham wore that outfit to one of her kids' school fete. Bet she wasn't serving tea and sticky buns or manning the tombola dressed like that, though...
Muahaha...ugly, aren't they. They give anyone a really small head, unless you have a gigantic hair-do (which I don't, unless in FLA). I'd take a mullet over shoulder pads I think, blech.
I've seen some gals around town wearing some "interesting" items... some poofy shorts and pants with tight bands around the bottom hem to keep them poofy.
Kinda cracks me up a bit... here everyone is trying to be skinny skinny but yet fashion turns out to offer us clothes to make the skinny gals look three (or more) sizes bigger around.
