I think it's a migros billboard. does anyone want a crack at why this makes sense?

if i plug "tommorow is yesterdays today" into google translate, i get "gestern morgen ist heute".

"gestern ist gestern und morgen ist gestern heute" this makes sense to me.

but why can you switch the words and it mean the same thing?

I've been wondering about this myself. I think it's a play on words and not "proper" German.

It's probably something along the lines of "Today is yesterday's tomorrow" which makes me feel like I'm wasting my life away. Why migros are saying that I've no idea

I got the meaning but not sure what MIGROS try to communicate (yes LOL with the veg thing from mimi1981). In any case, just occupying people's mind space trying to solve this language puzzle might be an accomplishment itself.

I've seen it a lot on billboards. I thought it had to do with their TV service that has a recording feature, though maybe not.
