And here again you are wrong on so many levels. I am totally neutral over gays, you do you, I don´t mind one little bit. I just wish it were less in your face, or in my face every time I want to watch a show. It seems like there has been an explosion of a gay bomb in the studios producing TV and Films where “the gay” is ladled out in heavy handed doses whether you want it or not and I believe that less would be more.
I am almost insulted that you call me racist, that is a too easy cop-out to throw the race card into the discussion. I do think you are better than that.

Too much science fiction these days is about fighting, war and beating up the other guy. Bring back the classic Heinlein, Asimov and Clark.

Oh I disagree, the three body problem for instance has the potential to be a classic and Bladerunner 4046 is hands down among the best that scifi has had to offer.
It´s not all about pew pew and voom voom, there are some brilliant shows and films out there, however in my humble opinion, as much as I love Heinlein, Asimov and Clark etc. they are too deep for today´s mealy-mouthed and easily offended audience, not nearly “woke” enough and pretty light on the gay.
The last Clark I saw was “Childhoods end” a brilliant book with a story that stays with you forever and I was skeptical about the series, but it was great and very near to the book. But that has been a few years, things have changed and not for the better.
As I said… in my humble opinion.
By the way, just watched the latest episode of Dr. Who and my verdict is in. I am going to let this Doctor slide into oblivion, despite a good shot at a timey-wimey-wibbly-wobbly plot a weeping, huggy-feely gay Doctor in touch with his inner light is not what I want to see in “The Doctor!”

Childhood’s end was the first Clark I ever read, which sealed me on the Genre. Sometime in the mid 60s I recall although it was written 2 years before I was born.
