RAV Application for Unemployment Benefit - Translated

Attached is a translation of the Antrag für Arbeitslosenentschädigung (Application for Unemployment Benefit). This translation is of the 2007 document but is about 90% the same as the current 2012 version and should be useful.

ah GE...

RAV has the 2009 "Application for Unemployment Benefit" form available on its website, although well hidden. It might be more useful than the 2007 form attached above:

http://www.jobarea.ch/dateien/Formul...usfuellbar.pdf

- The current version is 2012 but is only in D/F/I languages.

RAV also has the 2008 "Employer's Certificate" available on its website, although also well hidden:

http://www.jobarea.ch/dateien/Formul.../716-103_e.pdf

- The current version is 2014 but is only in D/F/I languages.

Although these forms are dated, they might be useful to gain an understanding of the current D/F/I form.

Attached is an English translation of the Antrag für Arbeitslosenentschädigung (Application for Unemployment Benefit), updated to align with the current 7-2017 version.

I am SO grateful to you Mullhollander. Thank you!

This is an English translation of the RAV document Unterhaltspflicht gegenüber Kinder (Maintenance of Children). It aligns to the RAV version dated 05-2017:

Attached is an English translation of the Arbeitgeberbescheinigung (Employer Certificate), which aligns with the current 8-2014 version. As the translation is not an official document, the form in D, F or I should be used and is available at arbeit.swiss:

So that the RAV form translations are in one thread, this is a link to a translation of the Angaben der Versicherten Person für den Monat form ("10 Questions"):

https://www.englishforum.ch/employme...ranslated.html

RAV Zurich and other RAV offices require that registered job-seekers complete a form whenever they will be absent due to vacation, inability to work due to illness/ accident, etc., as well as when certain events occur such as interim work, a new job, planned trip abroad, etc. Attached is the form used by RAV Oerlikon and a translation:

Attached is an English translation of the Bescheinigung über Zwischenverdienst (Certificate of Interim Earnings), which aligns with the current 716.105 d 02.2015 version. As the translation is not an official document, the form in D, F or I should be used and is available at arbeit.swiss:

Attached is an English translation of the Nachweis der persönlichen Arbeitsbemühungen (Proof of Efforts Undertaken to Find Work), which aligns with the current 0716007 - 001 version dated 06 - 2015 . As the translation is not an official document, the form in D, F or I should be used and is available at arbeit.swiss:

Attached is an English translation of the form "Sind Sie fit für Ihre neue Stelle? (Are you ready for your new job?), which is used by many RAV offices in the German area.

Attached is an English translation of the current "10 Questions" form (Angaben der Versicherten Person für den Monat). It replaces the translation linked in post 8 above, which is out-of-date:

Mullhollander, you deserve a medal! THANK YOU for your generosity in supplying this, and keeping this thread up-to-date.

Yes, agree with previous poster. You save me both time & headache. Thanks a lot.

I'm unemployed as of Sep. On my first "Abrechnung", the Arbeitslosenkasse have included the comment "Nach der Aussteurerung müssen sich Stellenlose zwecks Erfassung als Nichterwerbstätige bei der kantonalen Ausgleichskasse oder deren Gemeindezweigstelle am Wohnort melden."

Could someone please explain to me what it means cause I don't get it. Do I need to do some sort of registration at a tax office? I was on Quellensteuer while working.

This means if you have'nt found employment by the time your insurance has run out you have to registar at your commune. (gemeinde) Or by the kantonal office for social insurance.

Hopefully it wont come to this.

Adults are generally classified for employment purposes as:

1. Erwerbstätig (employed)

2. Arbeitslos (unemployed and seeking employment)

3. Nichterwerbstätig (not employed and not seeking employment)

Generally, to be considered unemployed, a person must be registered with RAV. When the RAV insurance support runs out without the person finding a job, this is called "ausgesteuert" (literally, managed out). The managed-out person is to then register with the fund (Ausgleichskasse) as Nichterwerbstätig (not employed and not seeking employment).

Intentionally or otherwise, official Swiss unemployment statistics show a more favorable unemployment situation than the real situation.

Thanks both. Nothing to do with taxes then. Given that I start with 400 days of unemployment benefits, I will happy ignore this for a very long time.

....at your own risk and peril, it can sometimes take a long time to find a job here
