Now I toyed with this for a while but could not make it fit.
Still I found out it was designed by Howie Green as an adult colouring, anti stress thingy.
It’s called “circles” and eventhough I did not use it I liked it enough to kick around, so I made myself some… lets go with herbal tea and asked Alexa to pur some Juno Reactor on and out came this that I too call “circles”

Just finished the new design with the littles and I think these are the best ones yet.
I used a different kind of holo-card that givrs so much more rainbow and (best discribed as) white glitter card.
Nice, but the glass “glitter” is hell on the blade.

One thing that has annoyed me for a while is that I want professional looking passpartouts, with “museum grade” being the best, 1 to 2 mm thick and with a 45° bevel on the inside.
Thing is the devices that you need for that kind of result cost more than I am willing to pay.
I did find however a cheap cutter on Amazon for 30€ and it got me thinking.
I have a beautiful 1950ties stripping table with scales, adjustable steel rulers, clamps and light, infact everything you find on a “museum grade” passpartout-cutter.
So I got the cutter and after a short learning curve I now have the capability to make my own custom, 45° bevel, museum grade passpartouts.
Yeah me!

if you want to work for yourself, instead of for others…or… using a 30 Euros plotter and some injenuity (and softwar, create a 45 degrees bevel automated home hardware to sell

Just remembered my old booking machine from the 50’s way down in my cellar. (Have to dust it off sometimes). Bought in the 80’s from the municipality of Locarno, TI, for CHF 20. Last journal entry is still visible and is from January 1969. They told me it still works, but I never tried.
Actually I did work on such a beast in the 70’s, but that was a Ruf from Switzerland. I think Enssle from Zurich sold German machines. His phone number from Zurich was still 5 digit.

That is a police booking machine?
Certainly looks like one.
Not police, just municipality. Double bookkeeping, you would insert an account sheet, two for every booking, type in the booking and it is copied to the journal and it adds up the debit and credit columns.
We switched to a computer in the 80’s but the old system was faster and less erratic…

I recognize a similar machine in most of the courts I go to, some are collecting dust in a forgotten corner of the basement, others are proudly displayed in the entrance behind glass.
I love that kind of thing.
You probably mean a stenotype, something like this:
I had to buy the Enssle when it was offered to me at a pub in Locarno. Remember it like yesterday, we had some free Costini from the fire when the guy named Pippo mentioned that they bought a new one and he has to get rid of the old one.
I have no idea if that could be worth something, but I just had to have it. Collecting dust since more than 50 years…
The steno machines are worth a lot of money, but no; the justice system used these machines too.
