Skimmed Milk

Horse for courses. I find semi skimmed too rich but they seem to sell it here.

No its not, skimmed milk is always healthier then any other ones (except soya and some other non cow milks) Good luck buying your first bottle of skimmed milk

I like my milk to be white

I used to dye mine green when I lived in a shared flat in Durham. Worked very well, it never got borrowed.

I think the whole diet carb/fat debate is still open. The last I heard was that high choestrol food i.e. eggs arent so bad as the body more readily creates its own from carbohydrates and that low fat protien i.e. a lean steak isnt going to kill you in its self. In some sence its more important when and how you eat your food. Eat little and often. Chew it well, and get lots of exercise. I open to debate but and I don't do a lot of the things I prescribe and I'm fat but I don't think low fat works anymore than atkiens.

I do agree about eating llittle, often and chewing well. Lean steak (red meat) has got a lot of iron, which in moderation is very good for your help. Atkins diet is very good visually( do loose weight quickly), however there are side affects as bad mouth smell, constipation and a huge craving for carbs. Appearantly, G diet is very affective and very similar to Atkins, exept that you do eat some of the carbs.

Sorry for spelling

no ned to apolgise for speling. I like the abs diet, some carbs lots of protien and something that hasn't been mentioned yet, lots and lots of fibre(filling and healthy) combined with a constant exercise routine. If you deprive your body of stuff, i.e. carbs in the atkins diet it won't help long term.

Yeah, got to be carefull of LOTS AND LOTS OF FIBRE. Ive done that once and couldnt go to toilet for a week lol. Lets put that way, if you exercise, eat a lot of fresh different vegetables and fruits, lean meat, low salt and sugar products, small amounts you will be healthy. How easy is that???? .......

Try eating a low salt high fibre diet in my works canteen. Not so simple.

Bring your own lunch. I know its a bit gay, but at least you will have something you like. ( I hope youre not gay or next message will be an apology)

I'm not but I wouldn't be offended by the suggestion. I know like the suggestion but lunch is heavily subsides. One of the percs of the job. I may suggest more brown rice etc.. see what happens.

Well good luck, now its a beaty sleep time for me

Bottom Line: You will become obese no matter WTF you eat if you are eating too much of it!!!! This will explain why America is so fat. They are lying to themselves believing they can do "all-you-can-eat" low-fat eating!

Most fat people are missing something in their lives and that's why they try to stuff it in themselves using food.

It took me years to cut the bullshit and start eating portions of food which were suitable to the size of a healthy stomach (of a human).

Weight Watchers makes a book called "Stop Stuffing" and it's on my shelf. WW advocate portion control, but there are certain veggies that they allow you to fill up on, if necessary. I've been a bad girl, but the book is there for whenever I'm finally READY to read it.

Until then, I will keep stuffing! I just try to do it with veggies nowadays! Have lost 17 kg since last February!!!! Atttached is a "before" pic.

Go, Carrie!

I am so ready for a new thread, guys!!!!!

I want it to be all about kicking fat's ass and taking its name!!!!!!!!!

Go Veggies!!!!!!!

Go Sport!!!!!!

Go -effing- SKIMMED MILK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way, I'm dead positive that all the fat people (some among them even morbidly obese) that I spent New Year's Eve with in Aargau were all

SWISS!!!

Fatness is NOT a problem unique to America, people! I love the fact that the USA has all the low-fat products possible! At the same time, I hate the fact that not enough people there are setting an example by eating them properly and losing weight!

A perk of the job is an unhealthy lunch? Then you have a lifestyle choice to make.

If there really isn't an alternative option, then you should eat less of it.

Another thing to consider is if you have a heavy lunch, make sure you don't also have a heavy evening meal.

Good luck

So, you're saying, less talk, more action? I fully agree (except what you said about Diet Coke, when you should have said water )

Diem, I edited my post, sorry!!!

BUT! Diet Coke is a first step for a fattie who needs it! It's like a security blanket. Baby Steps, you know.

I currently drink hot water infused with chunks of fresh ginger and freshly squeezed lemon. My kidneys hum with joy and fat is rinsed away, tingling all the way!

Rawwwhhhrrrrrrr, Tiger! Me likey the pics, Diem!

1% of all overweight people have a thyroid problem and I'm one of the "lucky" chosen few... Suck big fat monkey balls but I guess I should try just a little harder and hopefully the new medication I'm on will actually let me finally lose weight.

Carrie, wow, brilliant job, very impressed! Diem, dito, great work!

Thank you!

Regarding the "thyroid problem" comment....I just want to say that *sometimes* fat people come up with the darnedest excuses of why they cannot lose weight. For many, the first major steps involve getting out of denial that there is an eating problem, and the second is telling yourself that you are capable of the self-control involved in eating healthier.

I don't understand who you are telling to suck fat monkey balls, though!

I have created a new thread about healthy living which is in Daily Life, so if you are interested, join
