Squash in Basel, anyone?

Hi,

I was once an avid squash player, then moved to Basel. Months of a strict melted cheese and chocolate diet have taken their toll and I'm looking for someone who would like to play squash once a week?

I've played a few games out in VITIS sports centre at the Im Bruhl tramstop but I'm happy to play anywhere.

You are living in Basel. What is your standard? I know a group of ex-colleagues who play every Sunday morning at Squash Paradies in Allschwil. If you were an avid player then I also know one or two that are more than social players... Let me know and I am sure I can sort you out. If you fancy driving over to Frick then I am more than happy to play you...

I'm also keen to play, especially if there's an evening going. At the moment I play casually with some Swiss friends my age at Paradies in Allschwil. Standard-wise I'm ok (used to play a lot at uni), but am not too keen on playing in the leagues in Weil because of the rather unpleasant competitive attitude of the Germans!

Hi Guys,

I too play the occasion game of squash with work colleagues and would enjoy meeting up with new people for a game in Allschwil one evening after work. I work at Polyphor, a few mins from a couple of squash center.

I am no pro a mere sports enthusiast that thinks he can turn his hand to which ever sport is on offer....football is my first love...but anything goes...especially poker!

I am an Englishman who just moved to Seewen (20 min south of Basel ) 5 months ago.

I am new to the community. The only reason why I joined is to find some partners who can play squash or badminton with me. I had been playing squash for 3-4 years regularly (thrice a week) in Erlangen, Germany. I played in small club level friendly competitions and played fairly decent. since last two years when I moved to USA and then back to Munich, I hardly had time to practise. Recently, I moved to Basel and was very happy to find squash centers in and around Basel. If anyone is interested in playing with me especially on weekends or after 19:00. I would be very happy. Since my time in Scotland I always wanted to play squash. Finally i made it but have only played twice in my life till now. Are there any begginers out there like me that want to play?

Hi I moved to Basel a couple of weeks ago from Delemont.

When moving I found my squash racket and realised how much I used to enjoy playing.

If anyone is interested in a game I would say I'm not a great player but have a good understanding of the game.

I'm available to play any time after 6:30 weekdays and all day on weekends.

If anyone is interested in joining up to make a small squash group which would play weekly let me know. Nothing too competitive, more social and fitness.

At the moment theres two of us forum members who have started to play weekly in the Tennis and Squash centre just across the border in Weil am Rhein, Sunday morning or Monday evening usually but flexible enough.
