Suggestions for Men's Suit shopping?

Hey gang, new member to the forum here.

I'm heading to Zurich soon and i need to buy a suit. I'll be coming from a war zone where I work, so I wont have much of an option to purchase one beforehand. So I need some input for places to go get fitted and won't break the bank. I've googled a few places, but it seems that everyday people like yourselves could offer better tips and info on where to go.

I'm looking for the European-cut or European-fit suits. Pic 1. Pic 2. The thing is that I would need to find a taylor that could fit this to my 6'4" 190lb body and have it ready for me to pick up in 4 days for the function I'm wearing it to.

I couldn't find any prior threads on this, maybe I suck at using the search function.

Thanks in advance! Can't wait for my first visit.

excuse my thread title misspelling... Suggestions for Men's Suit* shopping?

This time of the year as it is the beginning of the season you won't find much discount.

But you can check out this shop, is in the Zürich center, very close to the hauptbanhof ( main train terminal )

The have discounted italian suits.

There are many other clothing shops on that area too, so you can shop around

Your location states USA.

I know that your country has pi$$ed off a lot of countries in the world recently but didn't realise your country concidered itself to be a warzone.

Salsa - thank you for the tip. Adding it to my list.

Cashboy - has it occured to you that one could perhaps have a permanent residence in one country and work in another?

Everyone else, keep 'em coming!

I'm soooo curious about that funtion you're wearing it to. What is it?

How about pkz. They do lovely suits also no and are to be found in just about every town I think.

pkz.ch/

how about Grieder http://www.bongenie-grieder.ch/#/home/ or Globus Herr http://www.globus.ch/de/ueber-globus...ofstrasse.html ?

why...would you like to be my date?

Visitor, please take Sada on a date. Tens of thousands of forum members are all wondering just what a Sada is ( ).

You are sweet.

Should you indeed need a date or some entertainment, may I draw your attention to those EF events in Zurich. I hear they are fabulous!!!

A mysterious voice in your head it is mud. Watch it, maybe you're going m-a-d.

There is several outlet malls where you will find a 2000chf suit for 300chf (without tailoring) I go in Aubonne by geneva cause thats my neck of the woods and they got big sizes there also...(6'6 and 200lbs)

Took them 4^5 days to make the suit

Seriously?

Need to find something like that in Basel!

Hugo Boss has an outlet in Baar (S1 train stop is Lindenpark ) The catch is they are only open on Saturdays.

that is the shop I postep up there, Le Mouton à 5 pattes. However the Zürich shop is very small compared to the ones in Geneva and Aubonne.

There is also an small shop of them in Basel

They are good friends.

Do I sense sarcasm here? lol I'm not sure I know what an EF event is my dear. Care to enlighten me...?

...you forget I'm new to this forum and don't quite follow the references. Perhaps you can break it down for a newbie?

This is a bit out of my way, but I appreciate the info. Im sure someone else will find it useful.

I arrive on a sunday, and the event is on the following saturday...so this won't work for me, unfortunately.

Could you not buy a suit in the United States and send it to yourself post restante in Zurich?

Hey look i can groan now. Dont take it personal, I was just testing out my new abilities.

But no, I can't ( Short Term Visitor... ) ...i've always wanted to get a European fit suit and have not really found one I liked back in the states. I have other suits at home that I could mail myself, but I am faaar from there. You know how the saying goes...when in Rome.
