Swiss Weather!

True but I just use it to see if I can bike for the next couple of hours

Get ready for some wild weather this coming week, and lots of heat! I love Weather Watcher…

I have not seen any warnings about raw sewage being washed into the Rhine but when I see a lot of white foam with bubbles coming down the river I have strong suspicions.

Warnings out for most of Switzerland. Us - we get a few grumbles of thunder, a very small splattering of rain (not even enough to damp the roads/pavements) and that’s it. Sun’s shining now.

That’s more than we got, we got nowt.

Everything’s to the east of us.

Grumbling and rumbling again, but no rain so far.

Three successive thunderstorms with buckets and buckets of rain, yesterday. Today cloudy and hot.

Yeah, we’ve had several heavy storms yesterday afternoon and evening and again today up here in the mountains, absolutely torrential, each one lasting perhaps half an hour tops, then blue skies and sunshine again. Not that unusual, TBH, and the temperature drops they bring are very welcome, albeit temporary.

Yay rain! Hopefully cool things down for a little while and I don’t need to water my new plants in my tidied up garden today.

I am not often complaining about the weather, but a dew point close to 22° really sucks.

I can live through any daytime temp, but nights over 18C are a killer. Lately, despite the heat, we’ve had 16 or even 15 at night. Haying has started, so the air smells like honey.

Just back from Scotland. This is too hot for me!

At 8 PM it’s still 32°. They forecast 20° for 4 AM, but I don’t believe it.

We have a minimum of 20° as well and given how hot it still is now I can well believe it.

I just hope so!

Level 4 thunderstorm approaching from the south. Please, no hail!

Regrettably the Thunderstorm didn’t cool it down. At 06h45 it was 22°

24.4C outside atm at 7.51am. Did have some rain overnight, but hasn’t helped much.

24°C at 7.30 when I drove into Neuchâtel this morning.
There was a big storm and lots of rain during the night but it doesn’t seem to have had much of an effect in the temperature.

So glad to have the small bedroom airconditioner I bought for CHF 150 in a winter sale plus I had to drill a hole in the wall for the hot air outlet
