I don’t think we do have strong winds very often, this storm was quite exceptional.
Remember tornado in La Chaux-de-Fonds?
Right on cue, high winds, flashes of lightning followed quickly by crashing thunder and buckets of rain. Two hours later, blue patches, lovely cool air, and the blackbirds trilling from the rooftops.
We had heavy rain 3 times today (in the morning, at about 5 pm with strong wind and just recently in the evening), and inbetween it was sunny, calm and warm.
Here in Aargau, strong storm around 15h30. Removed the geraniums from the balcony because the wind was strong. Strong rain during 10 mins and then cool air. There was a 2nd wave of rain 1 hour later but nice calm rainfall.
I got a bit worried because 30 mins before I was up in the local hill sweating like a fat cow

Did get a short sharp shower just after 3pm, but need more rain and cooler temps please!
noooo. It already dropped too low today for my liking.
Apart from that I kind of enjoyed the weather today, about four different versions, often all at the same time 
Right now we’re back to sunshine and yet no need to carry any water to the garden tonight.
I don’t think that saying “please” will affect global warming.

It has only begun to warm up!
Here’s why:
Stormy week coming! Just don’t try holidaying in the Balkans or Italy (or Spain or Portugal or France…)
At least have a nice cooler breeze today. Was trying to rain when I went out to check the post box, just spitting in the wind though; nothing to speak of wetness-wise.
Doesn’t look like we’re due for anything much until next Thursday at the earliest here. Then a few days of rain which will be very welcome.
And that forecast has gone out the window now. Might get a little bit, but nowhere near what they were forecasting earlier this week. 
Well not here. The advisory for heatwave is still valid for Vaud.
There was never any rain forecast here either and there still isn’t.

Maybe a little on Thursday next and some next Saturday, but that’s it. The nearly full week of rain forecast has vanished.
