Swiss Weather!

No, they call it “very warm”. Hot is heiss and reserved for (IIRC) over 30°.

I just listened a thunder here in Aargau next to Aarau. Today was a bit warm, but first thunderstorm?

Crazy times
I looked it up on https://www.lightningmaps.org/ and it was quite localised

It is 18C here and I just got a low temperature warning on my smartphone

Indeed, only 1 lightning/thunder, light rain. Nothing else.

Hey, that website it’s so cool, a bunch of nerds working together

So warm today I seriously considered dragging my air conditioner out of the cellar.

I am not so seriously grumping… even if the wekkend weather is downhill… but it;s been nice … my windows and balcony doors are still open …

Thunder and hail stones in central Switzerland currently…

Something wicked this way comes…Thunderstorm expected in an hour–all narcissus (hundreds!) have been tied up.

An aged relative just sent me a photo of the hail stones destroying her garden.

None of that is forecast for here thankfully, it’s still lovely and sunny.

Forecast to be a wet week next week.

Forecast is dry here until next Wednesday.

Positively summer here for the next 5 days, then minimal rain but over 20C. The weeds are loving it.

Same here.

We actually need the rain.

You should get your wish next week. There seems to be unstable air coming; Bergfex says 4 days of thunderstorms and nice rain starting Tuesday. Caveat: Weather in these tall parts is notoriously difficult to predict–on Tuesday night they predicted 5L, and we got double that!

We certainly do, we haven’t had any decent rain for weeks now.

They forecast meteorology but not micro-meteorology which is how the immediate terrain affects the weather.

And, you’re right - the more severe the terrain, the more opportunity for it to have non-predictable weather.
