They certainly don’t use the same rhetoric as Musk does.
Have you heard of that English expression, love is blind?

Mostly because Elon doesn’t give the same huge discounts to firms as the other manufacturers do.
Hit piece from Forbes claiming 10,000 unsold Cybertrucks, updated model Y not selling well and the planned cyber taxi launch in Austin is missing some targets.
Elon claims to be backing away from Doge but was with Donnie for his Middle East trip so needs to do more to try to repair his brand.
Not going to happen. Even if he goes back to Tesla the damage is already done. He’s tainted the brand and it’ll never recover while he’s still there. Not even sure if it would recover if he was chucked out eventually.
The brand image as it was is certainly “done”. We will have to see what they come up with.
Or what his plan be is.
But my guess is he knows all of that, if only because his brother has told him. It’s common knowledge that while the board is largely decried as sycophants, his brother is a “correction factor”.
All that doesn’t make the current cars bad. It’s just that they only sell used for a discount currently.
Nobody is claiming that it is just that the competition appears to be catching up and even improving
It’s been reported that Emil Frey Group is the Generalimporteur, i.e. all imports for CH and LI go through EFG (grey imports notwithstanding).
The new showroom at Uraniastrasse 31 might be a separate entity.
According to the Handelsregister the directors of the new showroom are Chinese plus a Netherlands company
Under EU GPRS rules which came into effect at the end of last year, all importers require an EU representative based in the EU who must ensure that any products meet safety rules.
I don’t know the reason but most Chinese companies seem to chose an agent in the Netherlands.
So Switzerland is in the EU now?
(it’s GPSR, General Product Safety Regulation. GPRS, General Product Regulation Safety, would be a rather different thing)
No, obviously not but the Swiss market is obviously not big enough or important enough to have a separate “special” import business.
And how does that relate to the applicable regulation?
Maybe the Netherlands are to China what is Austria to Russia? (just a question)
I was merely explaining the point of the company in the Netherlands.
No, it’s not particularly relevant to Switzerland as far as GPSR is concerned presently but since Switzerland tends to adopt EU directives and legislation of this nature to reduce bureaucracy and costs, it would make sense for all European imports to follow the same path for Switzerland as the EU.
As as I wrote before the Swiss market is obviously not big enough or important enough to have a separate “special” import business.
A quick Google suggests that a major factor is that most imports into Europe which do not come by air, come via Rotterdam’s port.
If that were your point you wouldn’t have mentioned EU regulations.
Thanks for your mansplaining.
It was relevant.
If I was mansplaining - what does that make you?
EU regulations are immaterial for Switzerland.
How little you know…
I’m going to stop this back-and-forth now. It achieves nothing.
That’s actually true. And contrary to some, I’m aware of it.
There’s two reasons:
Bonus: From Holland, you also have access to the non-EU countries (UK and Norway mainly) via short ferry links
Source: my sideline activity is importing things from China; albeit mainly to Africa. I’ve given up a bit on the European market
