The EV thread

Yes you did. Sorry

Um, yes it does. The internal combustion engine will stumble on, there are a lot of vested interests and a few applications where they are really difficult to replace. The question is how you generate the electricity and there renewables win on every metric. They are cheaper, more sustainable and better for the planet than burning fossil fuels or using nuclear. Look at the evidence, rather than bringing straw man arguments.

Not really, read some of the literature of the time with the main streets knee-deep in horse shit.

One time in England in my Mustang convertible which weighed over two tons I had a head-on crash with a Nissan. It had to be taken away on a low loader, the Mustang just broke a sidelight and I could drive back to Switzerland.
It was in heavy rain. I had to brake hard, and with no ABS I could neither stop nor steer.

I feel much safer in my 2022 Model 3 LFP than in my 2001 VW Lupo….

It is a safer car but too many people put stock in “a feeling” rather than statistical data.

It’s why we have measles back, for example.

Previous Duster’s weak point were the seats - too little side-support for longer journeys.

Did that not get better with the facelift?

In any case, I would strongly advise to do regular back- and stomach muscle exercises…

Is that something stated in the Duster driver manual?

Zero-miles 2nd hard EVs in China explained and more exploding cars.

I dont seem to be able to get the Seat into a comfortable Position, it simply wont Go where I want it to.. the Spikey door handle pushes into my kneecap so I sit with a pillow between knee and door..
Also the (dont know what you call them) footpit Carpets Are alredy scrunched up and have bee relegated to the boot.

As he says himself, careful who you trust.

Take 2:54, the long row of “cars” in the background are some kind of props because they throw shadows (clearly distinguishable a little later) that are way too narrow to be that of a proper car.

Now, if one field is a pure lie, what does that say about the rest of his stuff? BYD, after all, is arriving here (no, I won’t even consider buying one for at least a decade, contrary to Switzerland China is a very-low trust society. If you get defrauded the blame is on you).

I think it is just the angle/perspective.

A few seconds later you see the row from the left side.

Was it not possible to get a serious perspective on the topic? Having to watch a VPN commercial in the middle of it all tops the cake. Corruption in CN is nothing new and consumer protection is a joke. I do agree.

This guy will have a stroke if he learns about the 1-day car registration in Switzerland.

Airbags not working is bad. But, we live in a world where Takata airbags release shrapnel and kill people. So, in the set of airbag malfunctions, far from the worst.

Ships transporting cars catch fire. It happens. Only 3 years ago a ship carrying Porsches from Germany to America caught fire and sunk in the Atlantic. Low quality?

Overall, this youtuber leaves the impression of talking to audience who knows nothing and gets surprised by everything. Yes, cars have problems, overcapacity in manufacturing in China is known, and cars in emerging markets are built different (lower quality). Just travel around the world and see all Nissan models you don’t recognize.

But the sky is not falling, it’s just living with lower income.

SerpentZA used to be a relatively normal YouTuber out of Shenzen. Making interesting videos about the country and the people.

Then, he got into a virtual fight with certain elements of the Chinese online community.

He then seems to have moved to the US and started turning the Anti China rhetoric up to 11.

You can Google him, he has a Wikipedia entry.

Switzerland killed study proving upgrading to an electric car is good for the environment.

Why did the Federal Government do that? Something to do with a conflict of interests with people in power here and the population.

Can only think it may have something to do with profit control. That usually explains most denials and cover ups.

Like hey! Lets not rock the boat and upset the economy.

Usually, nobody wants to hear uncomfortable truths. Especially, if they would require to upend one’s lifestyle.
