The Katzenhotel at Marigin Zentrum für Tiermedizin, in Feusisberg, SZ:

I saw the Katzenhotel on a tour of the clinic and it looked quite nice. It's situated in a quiet wing well away from the hustle and bustle of the clinic.
A colleague has a cat with diabetes needing daily insulin injections and so chose this option when she needed to go away on short notice. The cats are cared for by the Tierpraxis assistants and the vets are right there if needed.
Prices and conditions are on the website.
Have you ever herd of Happy Hunderhort? I would like to know if someone is using them and how they treat the dogs
here is the website:
Has anyone used http://www.walkmydoggie.org/services_en.html ? The owner seems lovely and we have friends that had their pets transported by them and they were happy, but has anyone used them for pet sitting?
Thanks :-)

Herr Wyrsch took good care of our dog on both long and short stays. The kennel itself is in a beautiful setting. Our dog was able to stay by herself in a kennel, which suited her temperament.
Our 10yr old adopted cat is very much an outdoors cat, but he does sleep in the apartment during the day. If he's closed inside, he will yowl the place down. I've no idea what he's like with other cats either. He appears to be good with younger cats and kittens, but did have a fight with a neighbourhood cat when we moved. I've never owned a cat before and have no experience of cattery / cat hotel places.
Idealy, I'd like someone, probably a student, to live in our apartment for a couple of weeks. Are there any student bodies where I could advertise this please?

On the way to googling something else, I stumbled across this:
In Küsnacht... but I have no personal experience, so info only.

It's been many years, but back when I lived on the other side we used to go to Dr Jöhr in Küsnacht. I remember seeing ads for cat sitting on his waiting room board. (In fact, I was looking for someone I vaguely remember when I ran across the above...) Perhaps you could find someone there - and certainly, post an ad.

Depending on the level of care your cat needs, perhaps a 'holiday' housesitter exchange like on this thread might be a possibility:
Any experience of trustedhousesitters.com
You might contact the OP of that thread to see if he ever used them, or not.

For a cat hotel, I'd recommend Marigin in Feusisberg. Not in your neighborhood, but not all that far away. They have expanded to 25 cat rooms, the new hotel is located on the floor above the clinic. See my post above. It's a great set-up, and while I don't have cats and so obviously don't use them, I do know the team and can say that they are fantastic. BUT - it's indoor care. If you cat is an outdoor cat that could be a deal breaker.
Good luck with the search...
ETA:
Also look at the 'Wohnungen' listing on the UZH board. Under 'Suche' there are ads for people looking for accommodation. If you are going to be gone for some weeks, perhaps someone - incoming student, post doc, researcher - might be interested in staying in your flat an alternative to temporary housing, in exchange for taking care of your cat. You might post an ad under 'Biete' - there are several short term listings already.
I've spent the last few days looking into this, since OH finally got his leave approved, and will probably go down the trusted housesitters route.
Our cat is booked into Dr Jöhr in Küsnacht for a check up on Thursday morning, so I'll ask then. I did get a handful of contact cards the last tie I was there.
Also looked at the Marigin place from one of your posts I was reading yesterday, and you're right, I can't see him taking to it. If I shut all the doors now, he'd still yowl the place down It took two months to get him to treat our place as his home rather than just a feeding post, and I'm really aware this trip is at the wrong time for his sense of security.
The place is a refuge and re-homes cats, but they offer a cat pension too, to help support the business. Its 16 CHF a day. The cats have to share rooms, but they are very good at looking aftetr them and move them around if there are any conflicts.
Has anybody ever had experience of this cat hotel in Küsnacht? http://www.katzenhotel-ermitage.ch/en/
Going to go and take a look at it in person but it would be good to hear of any reviews from people who've used it
Thanks!
Yes we have used this place a few times over the years and "Freddie" always seemed happy to go and was content when we collected him.
Its plain to see that Janete, the owner, loves the cats.
Sadly Freddie is not with us anymore but I would recomend to others.
My cat is very territorial, but has made 'friends' during each stay. He goes into the place grumbling, then doesn't want to come home when we collect him, and all his friends come and say goodbye to him. The 'friend' during his last stay was a stunning Abyssinian.
Janete prefers that new customers go and have a look round before their cat's first stay, and it gives her a chance to complete an information sheet about the cat's dietary requirements, any medication, vet, vaccinations, etc.
Thanks
Byron
