They eat dogs in Switzerland

Would you believe. In some cantons yes. But then again in USA they are gobbling up dogs!

Are these “dog-eaters” in the room with you right now?

Not too keen on dog. Although it Tastes Like Bear, its A bit too gamey And stringy for my Taste, but I suppose dogs for eating Are Not the Same as flinging a Junk yard mutt on the bbq.

Dog not for eating:

edit: although in all fairness, the “dog for eating” is also quite questionable…

Oh, I thought this was a thread about Haitian immigrants.

What is frowned upon in Germany is apparently practiced in Switzerland: eating dogs and cats. In any case, it is not forbidden.

As most threads by omtatsat, you can make it whatever you want it to be

Yes, we know, we all heard that story before.

Are you bored again?

Dogs are one thing, but my brother ate monkey meat when he was in Mombasa with the Royal Navy. Him and a mate were on shore leave, got a bit drunk and saw a stall selling some sort of kebabs on the way back to their ship. They’d no idea what it was until they’d eaten it. I’ll stick to an occasional doner thanks

On one of the ships I worked on there was a large Chinese contingent, mainly the “no tikki, no washee” guys. It was a separate microcosms, they did their thang an we did our thang. They had a boss man who made sure the work was done and that they did not step out of line.
This guy was as gay as Liberace and just as flamboyant, but he did on occasion allow us lesser gweilo’s eat in the China mess.
One time there were some purple sausages. Yhry tasted really good so We asked what they were made from.
As they did not speak German or English we had to communicate with tbe “thing”
Mooo? Heads shaking.
Oink? Same
Wuff? Nope
Actually it was “miow”

That is in fact really dangerous. It’s said to be the source of all kinds of zoonotic diseases.

Apparently citizen Trump was the first President in over 100 years not to have a dog. It should be noted that the president has often used “dog” as an insult to his political rivals and critics. He said Stephen Bannon, his former White House chief strategist, was “dumped like a dog by almost everyone.” According to Mr Trump, 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney “choked like a dog,” commentators and journalists like David Gregory have been “fired like a dog.”

Another reason not to vote for him.

Well it happened around 1966 and my brother is still with us at the age of 79. I think he was in more danger when he was shot at by a rebel sniper whilst he was serving in Aden tbh.

I don’t know about dogs, but an Austrian friend of mine said that after the war it was rather OK to eat cat if you didn’t have any other meat…and apparently the taste is similar to rabbit…

OP, are you sure it’s not one of those after-the-war stories?

Or about hot dogs? :joy:

Maybe dogs don’t want to be associated with him, though. You can always trust a dog’s instincts towards someone.

Until fairly recently, rabbits you bought in France had the fluffy tail still attached, because a skinned cat looks just like a skinned rabbit otherwise.
