What music are you listening to now?

All of the above fantastic tracks and I guess I have a soft spot for it coz it was my first radiohead album too!

Now got fake plastic trees in my head... even though am trying to listen to new album!!!

My bad. I just assumed that they had only recently caught on as my non-musical friends have only got their mits on OK Computer recently because of something they had read in Q.

if you have not yet downloaded the album

xfm.co.uk are playing the entire album. . .

the feed will be available for 1 week

( look for the media player / Watch and Listen category)

enjoy ! ! !

Seconded.

(when will the get rid of this stupid 10 character minimum rule?!?)

Have to say Pablo Honey was my first Radiohead album (am I showing my age!?) but its the least listened to, I bought it on the back of hearing creep on MTV but it was the Bends that made me into a Radiohead fan.

But Creep is a great song...reminds me of my first boyfriend... (not that he was a creep).. we kissed to that song at his house party when his parents were on hols! And who would have thought radiohead could be romantic?!!!

I like Pablo Honey, more than Kid A or Amnesiac...Lurgee, Anyone Can Play Guitar, and of course Creep (which I do stil like despite my fondness for My Iron Lung...)

Agree re Creep, i remember hearing it on MTV and it stopped me in my tracks, went out and bought the album the next day

Oh! This IS good. I hoped that they would build on the most promising tracks of HTTT. Shame about the 160 kbps quality

Grover Washington Jr. "Winelight" - it's very smooooooth jazz, sadly he passed away young in 1999.

Oh yea, totally cool that Radiohead is letting the listener determine the price of the download, they're a great band.

Today I'm giving Laura Marling a try, mate of mine has been telling me she's good for a while so I feel obliged to listen despite my "rip-off-of-Lily-Allen" misgivings...

radiohead-in rainbows

i think, determining price is ok, but i hate to have it as an mp3-album. i want the artwork and the box comes out only sometime in december...

Dec 3rd I think.

Just got an email off this guy who does some amazing tunes; his current band is

Daniel Flay and the Irreparable Guilt

Previously, he was in Names For Enemies, who were frankly awesome and reasonably well known.

Anyway, he's put up his latest EP, A Face Only A Fist Could Love, for free download here

The tracks are;

1. Shotgun mouthwash

2. Millionaire

3. Lateral thinking

4. When it rains it pours

5. The antagonist

6. Path of least resistance

7. Kniferack rodeo (acoustic)

8. The protagonist (live)

9. Girls just wanna have fun

10. Millionaire (acoustic)

Anyway, have a listen, if you like it his myspace is http://www.myspace.com/danielflay and he'd appreciate any feedback anyone has

I saw these guys in Baden on Saturday busking.

I thought they were so cool

i am not a music freak - my normal taste does not exceed that played on Radio Argovia..

They had a digeridoo, 2 saxs, drums.. well, you can see in the picture.

Reviving a thread after 5 years. That's like 10 lifetimes in internet years.

... and so much of good music remains eternally beautiful, or even if [you or I or our parents or children or neighbours think] it is lousy, can still bring a wonderful bittersweet nostalgia. That's the amazing thing, how music can reach across cultures, across places, and yes, across lifetimes.

This piece of music especially, will be enjoyed for generations.

Ha, ha!
