OK, it's 20 minutes outside of Zurich, but worth the trip (lunch reasonable, dinner expensive).

Favourite as in regularly attended, rather than wow wow wow? Schluessel, Miracle and Beaujolais all near Froehlichstrasse tramstop (Gandria also nice); Tuefi on Hornbachstrasse is a local secret serving organic food, and Tiffins for a quick Asian fix. Ginger for decent sushi. All in Seefeld.

Tessiner Keller for a Boho, unpretentious belly full.

ROSSO at the Hardbrücke is hard to beat.

- Wood Oven Pizza's so thin they cannot stay down flat (nor do they fit on the plate!).

- Constantly changing menu to ensure the freshest seasonal ingredients.

They also opened up a small shack near the entrance to the Hardbrücke which serves FISH AND CHIPS or CALAMARI AND CHIPS with homemade sauces such as sourcream and chives or sundried tomato. - Wash that down with a nice local beer from Turbinenbräu.... heaven.
