Thanks, judging by their prices they gotta be good
Re smoking, I don't know what the current public smoking law in Geneva is - in Zurich pretty much all restaurants are smoking (to different extent). So unless Da Paolo is smoked up beyond normal it will be fine.
It's all very relative, what's good for you is not necessarily good for me. You , for instance, may want a more tomato taste whereas i don't. I may not care too much about paying Sfr 25.-- for a pizza, you may...and so on.
Well thanks guys for the tips. We went to Da Paolo's and as described, it was exceptionally good. Maybe a bit heavy on topping and it won't de-throne Azzurro in Bern. All-in-all a great experience. We got there around 7 which is apparently too early for the locals so it was easy to get a table. Smoke wasn't an issue.
(Unlike at the concert venue later on - L'Usine. Seemed like everybody in Geneva smokes. Tindersticks played a flawless concert though. Great night.)
hiya! i think you wanna say " connaisseurs"??... anyway, i just saw your message now.. so it's probably too late... but there is an excellent italian restaurant in geneva, near the university mail. it called " ponte vecchio" there is homemade pizza, flame stone oven, and homemade pastas! kinda delicious there! in case for your next trip to geneva! c ya
But the real best is the tiny pizza restaurant Espresso Club at the rue des Pâquis 25 just to the side of Gelato Mania ( which is the best Gelateria in Geneva BTW )
The pizzas are awesome and the pasta is not only very good but also comes in a huge quantity (you actually get two plates - the 2nd one waiting for you in an oven while you are enjoying the first one ).
I have heard that Da Paolo's and another one called Il Carnevale di Venezia are quite good too, but I haven't been to those ones yet.
found two locations worth a visit in geneva with kids - thanks to your questions and thread. Who knows a good bar to have a drink (sort of All Bar One type) in Geneva or La Côte?? tx
Hi, I bring back this old post because the other one from Domino's reminded me I haven't got a good pizza in a while.
Which is for you the best pizza place that delivers home? (In Geneva area) And, because of my tight budget I have to ask also... which one is the cheapest?
