Will you vote in the European elections on 9 June?

Sorry that would be the greenies.

Anyone in Switzerland can vote as it was never based on someone’s passport related “privileges” but on their residence place, besides not only European countries can participate (and you must know that… ), but frankly I better refrain from commenting on Eurovision.
I have to admit I don’t even know who will represent Switzerland…enough said about my interest in this contest.
I don’t think the Brits feel sorry they can’t vote in the European elections so am not so sure why so much interest in these votes.

True, but that includes “hate speech” offences and property damage like placard vandalism.
In regards to to being violently attacked, AfD is in first place and has been for years.

(As another user pointed out, most people probably wouldn’t know that though due to partisan media coverage)

Repeating “wir schaffen das” as Merkel opened the floodgates definitely comes to mind!

You are trolling.

And you are trolling as well.

eurovision… Enjoy your tax money well spent…

Depends.

Those figures will include trivialities like adding a moustache to a poster.

Plus, personal attacks must be put in relation to e.g. party size, and couple that with each party’s authoritarian demands, intolerance, and extremism. There’s a reason why the Greens are far more often targeted than SPD and CDU/CSU.

Is this a dialect word or a double meaning? I doubt he rained on them

I meant niederschlag

Double meaning, Niederschlag can mean strikedown or precipitation. Though IME use with the meaning of strikedown is (very) rare. It may make sense here though, e.g. if the gravity of the hit is unclear.

However German usage of the word might differ from my Swiss experience, this article originates from DPA (the Deutsche Presseagentur), a German news agency similar to Forbes, Agence France Presse, etc.

Why does this post not present as a reply to marton’s? Is it just me? The edit window does show a link to marton.

Latest poll of polls:

And if you want to understand which parties from your member state is part of what group in the EP, here is a good overview:

What is so difficult about providing an envelope that actually fits the size of the ballot?

DIN A*?

I would, if I didn’t have to preregister (this part is ok) and go to the Bern embassy in person on the day of the elections. I’ll do that for home country elections, but not for EU elections.

It’s on Sunday and Bern is a very nice place… For us it’s a bit weird: we can vote by mail in the general elections (since relatively recently though so I still have fresh memories with long queues) but not yet in the European elections. (I mean by mail)

Well that went well for Macron….NOT.

Uff! The ruling SPD got dusted down, the greenies dusted down and kicked in the balls, second strongest party… AFD!
Germany is going right.

Germany is going right.

not only Germany…

Better start practice singing “Erika”

Pretty much what the polls have been showing for months. AfD a bit weaker than 3 months ago, FDP a bit better. In total worrying as the sum of the populists AfD, BDW and Left is close 30%.

Overall it looks like ID gains quite a bit, conservative stable, losses for greens. So overall shift to the (far) right as expected.

Not sure what Macron’s strategy is, vut it does not look good.
