I love my iPhone. It's such a beautifully intuitive interface, the only thing that is missing is an even better camera, the new 3MP one is ok but still not a patch on any of Sony's phones.
I've got loads of apps - flight control, koi pond, face melter. I almost think it is an addiction though as I buy about 5 apps a month at least. Someone please help me stop...!
anybody using simplify music? i am just wondering if when i use my fon at home and stream the itunes library...if that causes traffic or if this goes still over my wifi home network that my fon is autmatically logged in to?
Anyone care to recommend a calendar app that syncs with mobileme/ical and provides a week view? I can't believe the update to 3.0 didn't include a calendar week view - sheesh.
It'll run over the wifi if you have it turned on, on your phone.
Agreed, but isn't the list view good enough? This is just IMHO but on Apples previous behavior then it would seem like they wouldn't allow another calender app on the phone.
Just tried the new SBB/CFF application, the big news is that you can now purchase tickets from the application directly. I gave it a try this morning and was pleased to see how quickly I got my ticket.
Forget MobileMe the cheapest way to keep your home, work and iphone calendars (& contacts) in sync is by using Google Calendar and a program called GsyncIt *.
I've installed GsyncIt on my work and home PC, and both of these sync my Outlook to an online Google Calendar account. My iPhone also syncs to my Google Calendar account using (on an hourly basis) the new CalDav protocol released with the iPhone 3.0 OS.
Its pretty straightforward to set up, but requires a bit of thought to avoid calendar entries being duplicated/erased. I guess Mobileme is easier to set up, but at $99 a year its a real rip off.
* Google have a freeware program called Google Calendar Sync, but it is extrememly buggy and will fail to sync a great number of calendar entries (e.g. meetings not arranged by you) hence why GsyncIt is the best choice for the job.
I was wondering about that - do you get a ticket with a barcode on your iPhone itself, that the conductor just scans when you're on the train, or does it work some other way?
yep, you have explained to me and i will get myself one! but its also nice having your library with you, listening to it e.g. in germany. and thats why i am asking: if i log in, does it run over wifi...so: thank you!
