I have heard the laws are changing re IVF in Switzerland, that now you can freeze eggs and you can have the embryo developed up until day 5 rather than 2.
Can anyone recommend either gynart or uni spital in Zurich? Some clinics abroad are available on weekends to do transfers and anything else necessary, does anyone know if that is the case here too?
When you grow an embryo to 5 days it apparently results in higher chances of pregnancy. Currently here they do grow embryos to 5 days but only 2/3, which is the amount the can put back into you. The rest of the 5 day old embryos cannot be frozen and usually have to be disposed of. They do freeze 2 day old embryos here but you have no way of knowing in advance if those are good enough quality to even have survived to day 5 etc.
Given that, I would say that currently your best chances of success would be going to a country with those more flexible laws already in place (you could go over the border to Bregenz in Austria)

Second time, we went to IVI in Valencia and besides not being successful, we had a serious problem after the eggs retrieval and went straight to main hospital (God may bless them for saving my partner). I prefer not to say what happened in detail as I do not want to blame anyone here. If I could an advice to anyone looking for a serious and professional clinic, do not pay attention to statistics&numbers, ADS and marketing .. do your search deeply, compare with others and follow your instinct.

We are starting ICSI in a couple of months with Dr. Elisabeth Berger-Menz at the Lindenhofspital in Bern. Does anyone have any experience with her? She seems very positive considering my age (34 years) and my good hormone levels. My husband has severely low count and ICSI is the only option.
I have been reading up on what they can and can't do here in Switzerland. They do a 2-day transfer as opposed to the more successful 5-day transfer. I am now thinking of maybe waiting until September until the new law allowing 5-day transfers is put into action. Does anyone have any experience of such non-aggressive fertility techniques working?

I do not have any experience with that Doctor, however I went to see a clinic in Switzerland and asked about the laws. According to the doctor, the are 'unofficially' already starting to do 5-day transfers since the majority vote on the law. It is worth asking your doctor if you haven't already whether this is a possibility now.
If I were you, I would double check if your doc will do a 5 day transfer, and if not, try get into a clinic that does, even if in another city. I wouldn't wait until September, just because people say the hardest part about IVF is the waiting, so i feel you would be unnecessarily adding to that. It is a long time to have the idea hanging over your head, so I think the sooner you start; the better off you will be emotionally.
I found yesterday that my last ICSI was unsuccessful again ( this is my 5th) so I am literal into pieces... heartbreaking and just to figure out what to do next. I did 3 fresh transfer and one Frozen in UK and one in Spain. I have 35 years old, los ovarían reserve, unicorns uterus ( that I found couple of months ago) so is been a very long and painful Journey.
We are thinking about trying one last time and considering to do it here in Switzerland so I dont have to go back and forward.
I know laws had changed here and they are more open..
After being Reading a bit we are not sure if go to Dr Singer or GYN ART. I had a Conversation with DR Singer this morning and he seems to be really nice.
I Will appreciate any information about him or Gyn Art, also if someone can tell me roughly how much cost in total here...we had already spent lots of money.
This is an extremly painful Journey..... so if someone would like to do like a group maybe we can meet up sometime and be ourselves..

sorry to hear it. I'm a Dr. singer patient and I can highly recommend him. I'm 34 and I have a low ovarian reserve. I did 1 icsi with him: the first one was unsuccessfull (2 fresh eggs transfered), but the second one worked (1 frozen egg). Unfortunately we decided to interrupt the pregnancy because our baby had problems. He and all the team were very supportive and understanding. The cost in total was around 12000 chf, between drugs, medical exam, icsi and 2 transfers.
We are considering different options at the moment, but I will have an initial consultation at the moment and then will see.
We are considering also Gyn art... after many failed circles i don't know what else to do.
BTW, I am so sorry for your lost, I can only imagine how hard it was after all you have been through.

I was NOT happy with University hospital but I love my doctor at Gynart who is Dr. Minikus. My first ivf failed but we still have 8 frozen eggs to try, fingers crossed. We paid 8550 chf for one IVF treatment. If you organise a meeting, I'd love to come too. Information exchange would be great.
I will probably start my cycle next month! I was wondering if you can tell me the price of Menopur here in Switzerland. I am going to Italy this week and was wondering if maybe is worth it to buy it there.
I read somewhere that some people go to Germany... any advice?
