I don’t remember seeing danger level 5/5 due to rainfall on meteosuisse. Disentis, Splüngenpass, Silvaplana. The red zone is the north side of the Alps where water flows into the Rhine river.
Also, alert level 4/5 for Alto Ticino, St. Moritz, Laax.
Hope this alert is reaching all the tourists over there, farmers have moved their cattle to a safe place and mountain climbers are back down from the peaks.
I don’t want to think about remnants of a hurricane that crossed the Atlantic twice, warm rainfall, permafrost and glaciers. I better get a beer or two.

Anyway, Mosogno a village upstream of Locarno, had 204 mm of rainfall in the last 24h. Peak intensity 30mm from 8h00 to 9h00 earlier today.
Turned into a nice day after some rain this morning. Rained on and off all yesterday. Supposed to be dry tomorrow before we get more rain here starting Monday.
Thank goodness, it looks like the heatwaves have finally ended. More rain overnight and into today and more forecast over the coming days. Mostly pleasant low to mid-20’sC temps wise.
Just got hit with very strong winds and heavy rain and even a bit of hail. Haven’t seen anything like that for years.

Yeah, we had some heavy rain and winds a little while ago. Had to shut the windows as the wind was blowing the rain in.

That was fortuitous. It was our commune’s brocante yesterday and today. Finished at 4pm today, by 5.15pm it was chucking it down with rain.
A few of Switzerland’s passes are now closed due to snow.
Whether they re-open again before Spring is anyone’s guess. Once they stop clearing the snow, it will stay there until the Spring melt.
If so, then it’s really early this year compared with last year.
Watch out for icy roads if going up into the mountains!
