Started snowing here. 
It’s closing in on us from CH. Looks like the mountains are already engulfed. Supposed to snow from 10 until 4, but less than an inch. Still bitter cold and icy.
get out the ice breakers.
Wind warning for today around midnight. 80+ kmh, the higher elevation, the stronger wind.
Maybe 50+ cm of snow for Valais, and 20+cm of snow for Berner Oberland between tonight and Saturday morning. 1-5cm of snow for the rest of Switzerland.
The south side of the Mont Blanc will get some snow. Careful if you drive across the Mont Blanc tunnel. Put attention to the auto navigation (if it receives updates from traffic conditions) or tune in the radio for updates. Aosta valley will become a winter wonderland.
Also, parts of the the Bodensee have frozen. But, only a bit, 3 people fell through broken ice yesterday. Walking on a frozen lake is interesting and exciting, I want to go back to the Schwarzsee in Fribourg. It’s at 1’000 meters above sea level, so it should have a thick layer of ice.
If you are taking the recently reopened Mt. Blanc tunnel beware as it has some overnight closures scheduled for maintenance. 12 Jan for example.
Had about 2cm of snow on the ground by noon, then fairly heavy rain since. The only remaining white patches is where someone had shovelled it. 2° at the moment.
Yes, we are having a big warmup also…bergfex says 4C by early morning, high of 7 tomorrow. Then back to the deep freeze, with snow all weekend.
Yeah, snow mostly gone here too now it warmed up a bit and we have rain. Wind’s getting up as well.

Just looked out to see if it was raining or not. Answer is yes, coming at me horizonally because of the strong wind.

We had a very light dusting of snow overnight. Was trying to snow again for a little while this morning, but has stopped again now.
Snow most of the night and all day today. Winter wonderland coming, with a sunny week ahead. Skiers trooping up the lanes, and the snow has driven the dolen (European choughs) into town…you can spot one in the corner of the first shot.
Sitting on plane at end of Zurich runway being deiced. In theory heading for sunshine.

Arrived just after midnight local time. 26°
Was snowing a bit again when I looked out before going to bed, but hasn’t added to the little we had before.
Rain early this morning and now the sun’s come out and given us a double 
Föhn and hardly a cloud…shorts on the covered balcony, with snowy peaks all 'round. My favourite winter weather!
