Swiss Weather!

Then we had varying degrees of mist/fog for the rest of the day. :upside_down_face:

Ah, but where I am it’s 30° …

@Bowlie, pictures or it never happened.

And who’s taking care of those gorgeous kitties??

We have a Trusted House Sitter looking after Hunter and the girls.

At least drivers were being sensible this morning in the fog around Lake Murten. Had a tractor and trailer in front of us and another behind and no one was stupid enough to try and overtake them because they couldn’t see far enough ahead through the fog to be sure the road was clear of oncoming traffic.

Basel has been really pleasant this last couple of days. OH has had 15c in Oviedo Spain this past week and thankfully no rain.

A couple of spectacular sunsets we had recently.

And the double rainbow we saw the other day.

Anyone happen to see the show last night? When will be the next one?

Check the forecast. But, nothing for tonight. Anyway, very thick fog right now around here.

Yesterday we had a thick fog. Today it was a clear sky the whole day, but Aurora is not that spectacular tonight. I’m checking webcams of Uetliberg, Rigi and Jungfraujoch the whole evening, but it shows just a bit pink painted sky from Jungfraujoch. No chance to see anything remarkable from Zürichsee.

Yesterday’s view from Uetliberg Webcam was spectacular, regarding that Zurich city was covered with clouds and the light pollution was not that bad.

They said it would be sunny in Zurich after 2 pm. I guess they meant above the clouds.

It is still after 2 pm. Give it time!

Significant winds in the Alps and snow for Alto Ticino.

Finally, I understood what the Föhn is.

On our side of the border, we’ve had a lot of föhn-time…more this week. Where the southern exposure has sun, it’s 12C (!!)

Been fairly foggy here lately, more than we’ve had the last few years. Looking at the forecast rain is coming pretty much every day for the next 2 weeks starting on Tuesday; might be some snow mixed in with that along the way.

The sun is great. I went out 15 mins to drink my coffee and it was warmer than expected. After 10 mins, I started thinking about a Rosé in the afternoon sun.

Looks like we’re going to get drowned next week.

Oh joy! We’re surrounded by what look like paddy fields already, goodness knows what they’ll look like after even more rain.

I was about to say that would be great for the mountains, but those winds will ruin some school holidays.
