Tesla EV discussion

You’ve had your say now let me have mine.

My joke wouldn’t have worked as well without the text.

It was on par with offensiveness the same as anything on Radio 4 current affairs comedy shows such as the Now Show, Naked week and so on.

Marton found it funny - English is his first language and he’s English so understands English humour.
If it’s your second or third language then you may not get it.

You are so wrong there. Go back and read some of the posts and then come back and edit your post.

Again, it wasn‘t about your ‚joke‘ but you implying Castro clubs people who touch his Tesla.

That’s how English jokes work. It’s not for everyone but this is an English speaking forum.

Maybe there’s a forum in Switzerland for your language which you can moderate instead?

Please play the ball, not the player.

It would be prudent for you if you took your own advice.

I’m a native English speaker and I found it inappropriate to link the image to Castro.

The message the image conveys works just as well without the unnecessary personal element you insisted on including.
It is an English speaking forum, not a forum for native English speakers.

Now can you please refrain from repeatedly derailing this thread and give it a rest.

Yes but you clearly don’t have a sense of humour and only jumped on this thread as you felt the other mods were junior to you and needed a helping-hand.

Three mods? Seriously?

And anyway, I only replied to Axa’s last post. It was Roegner who felt the need to put her oar in.

It is ludicrous to think that all native English speakers whose first language is English and who grew up in England with two English parents and four English grandparents all find the exact same thing funny.

If someone doesn’t find your jokes funny, it doesn’t mean they don’t have a sense of humour. They just don’t share yours.

I agree.

It doesn’t mean they need to delete any post they don’t find funny or relevant

We don’t all have that privilege and it shouldn’t be abused

Hey don’t drag me into this.

Anyway clubbing people is funny, for the oversensitive I put this one in the Jokes thread

I didn’t even see it as clubbing. I just saw someone protecting their Tesla from damage which seemed to go well after someone saw a Tesla with rubbish tipped over it.

Oh come on! You must think we were all born yesterday if you expect us to believe that.
It was patently obvious from that image that it was one person clubbing another.

I’ll say it again since you are clearly having problems understanding. It was not about the image itself, it was about you choosing to address it at Castro personally.

You’re very good at posting inappropriate comments and then playing the victim card if someone has the balls to call you out on it.

No one called me out on it. They flagged my post for deletion.

No victim apart from your hypocrisy. Deal with it.

I didn’t know you had balls. Learn something new every day.

And since you have difficulty understanding. Addressing it to him is what made it funny.

Actually, I’m going to be the adult here and put you back on my virtual ignore list as the software prevents me from putting you on a real one.

An extreme response to Tesla vandalism.

This is the firm that builds them

Devastating fire-power at the front. Surprisingly vulnerable to a brick through the rear window, though.

(in theory, obvs)

Tesla sold 15,300 last week in China vs 12,300 last year.
BYD sold 62,800

Tesla stock down 6% already today probably hurt by BYD’s announcement of a new fast charging technology, they claim charging will take no longer than filling with petrol for a convetional auto.

Being a bit car geeky for a second, I suspect that the advert comes from that era when the Nissan Skyline and Mitsubishi EVO were all the talk amongst young drivers and Porsches were seen as mid-life crisis cars.

They still are, if we accept that Boxsters and Macans are not real Porsches.
