Tesla autopilot test

Pretty Mickey Mouse if you ask me.

There are a lot of people claiming Tesla’s US production will not suffer a price increase because it is close to 100% US built.
There are other views.
" Tariffs of 56% on batteries and 35% US increase on rolled copper, steel and aluminum estimated to increase production costs of Tesla $tsla vehicles by 47%"

Tesla builds batteries in Nevada so should not be hit by that 56%.
They buy compnents from Panasonic’s US factory but how much that factory depends on imported materials I don’t know.

You mean the Apple-guy just paid a quick visit to the white house to get his products off the hook while Musk spending day&night there is still in trouble?
Less is more, Mr Musk, less is more. Goes for tweeting too.

The iPhone and with it Apple is literally too big to fail. Both for China and the US.

It will not fail. It will only get dumber.

Seen yesterday at a charging station in Canton Bern.

I don’t support this kind of actions. They’re counterproductive in my opinion.

So by vandalising teslas, tesla insurance goes up… which means sales goes down… Seems like it might actually work!

Agree. It’s a bit shit if you have bought a Tesla - what are you supposed to do? Trade it in for a fraction of the value? I’ve seen a number of those bumper stickers saying “I bought this before I knew Musk is a c**t” and similar, presumably to give their cars some immunity but damaging people’s cars is still not on.

It would depend if the insurance companies actually paid out for vandalism, particularly for cars bought after the inauguration. One could argue that the buyer should have known the risks of buying one.

Not right. Switzerland is a nice place and people is reasonable, no need for this.

Also, I have not seen a new model S on the street in years. This model S is probably 10 years old, when they were a novelty.

And when Elon was a card carrying democrat who made it cool to be an obsessive nerd.

I strongly believe that every new Tesla owner should be offered a free self defense course.

Was speaking to a client who did exactly that. They literally said “I couldn’t in good conscience continue driving a Tesla… so traded it in for a <can’t remember what>”.

Sure. There’s probably a fair few that have chosen to get rid, but there will also be a chunk of people that couldn’t afford to trade in and replace with something else. I just traded in my second-hand clapped out runabout for something not so clapped out, and it costs a fortune in money, time and effort. All I was saying is that people shouldn’t have to endure vandalism in this context.

A Golf Diesel might be a good alternative

Mar-a-Lago edition? :man_golfing:

You’re not allowed to say that to Castro on this forum.
I posted a joke bumper sticker here on similar lines to what you are suggesting which made the mods wet their pants with apoplexy.

Why? They’re not attacked. The Teslas will need a spring gun. Not allowed here though.
I thought Teslas are riddled with cameras? Should be a piece of cake to find the vandals?

A VW beatle.
Sorry, couldn’t resist.
