Problem being, your criteria for “don’t bother” may differ bigly from that of the other passengers.
There’s a simple way to measure it: people leaves the sit in front empty. It happens with crying babies, people eating too loudly, phone talk to loud or my pet peeve: potato chips.
If people starts running away, it means too much, so stay below that and all good
I notice you haven’t eaten with Korean or Chinese at the table yet. They demonstrate their delight by nomming enthusiastically.
Ok, perhaps your food was bad.
It was about having a beer on the train. People is transparent, if they don’t like something they stand up and leave. If I’m having a beer on the train and people sits just in front in a not-so-packed train, it means all good.
I meant it in jest. Sorry that wasn’t clear.
No prob, I’m tired…better go to sleep.
Back to topic, sales are not lifting up. Q2 2025 sales numbers in 3-4 weeks.
Tesla had 13,800 insurance registrations in China last week, a decrease of 10.97 percent from the previous week’s 15,500 and around 20% down from last year
Tesla’s global sales of its electric vehicles fell 13 percent year-over-year in the second quarter, the company said Tuesday.
The EV maker owned by Elon Musk said it delivered just over 384,000 cars between April and June of this year, down from the nearly 444,000 it delivered during the same three-month period last year and 466,140 the previous year.

Estimates were actually even lower.
Favorable financing and lease deals convinced a good amount of people to buy new Ys (and 3s).
Not sure what Elon‘s gonna do next.
Apparently they sold about 5k Cybertrucks in the last quarter. Word is that if that doesn’t improve over the next couple of quarters, they may need to scrap part of the production equipment or shutter it totally.
That would be brutal and sad. But it’s not unlikely.
Sigh.
There are v attractively priced new Teslas like advertised further up for 43k which is great value. But we also hear a new model y with seven seat options is potentially coming soon.
We would take a seven seat Tesla model y (but not an X) no prob but depends on soon, I mean if it’s this year, great. If it’s mid next year, we will move now.
Does anyone have any better info ? And those 43k registration only Teslas from 2025 they would still be the juniper model right ?
All help appreciated.
Mike
Oh! The problems of the world’s richest dude. If only he could care a tiny winy bit about saving the world.
It’s really difficult to say.
Model Y Performance will surely come next.
Mercedes will release the updated new electric V class next year, which is probably the most practical seven seater.
I mean, you could go for a used X, provided you’re aware of its shortcomings….
A new report claims the “Trump-Musk feud” has specifically undermined Republican positivity for the brand, leaving Tesla with a -10 net positive view among all consumers, the lowest we’ve ever recorded.
Consumers support ending government contracts with Musk’s Companies by 10 points.
A strong majority of consumers (net +48) support banning FSD technology until it can be proven safe
A significant majority of consumers support requiring Tesla to report all accidents involving Full Self-Driving to NHTSA, with a net support of 77 points (84% support vs. 7% oppose).
In other news, Tesla’s delivery report for the last quarter shows “other models” (S, X, Cybertruck) deliveries at 10,394, implying Cybertruck deliveries around +/- 5,000.
There is something strange in its report where it shows production of “other models” was 13,409.
I thought they were planning to up Cybertruck production to over 60,000 per quarter so they must have throttled down far more than publicly admitted.
That’s ridiculous.
You can’t proof something like that. In the same sense, you’d have to ban all TACC and even assisted steering (if that fails, you’re in big trouble usually).
Elon and Donald are way too similar in that they are their own worst enemies.
My guess is, though, that this time, Elon will eventually take responsibility. It will take a couple more bad quarters (which will come, undoubtedly), though.
He’ll have to let it sink in…
Not really.
It’s a bit of a sh1t product which looks like it was designed by a five-year old, is dangerous to other road users, is sh1t off-road and is so bad it is banned in many countries in the world.
Cyber truck:
Car drawn by five-year old:
It’s totally not fit for European roads.
But from all the other EV trucks, it’s actually the most nimble one! Least consumption and I think it’s also lighter than the rest!
I only sat in the one on show at the Tesla Day Switzerland and once you’re in it, it’s not too bad.
Of course, you don’t want to be hit with it while riding your bike. That would be the end.
But most of the US just doesn’t have pedestrians or people riding bicycles.
I agree that it was, with hindsight, a misguided investment. But nobody thought that in 2019.
Even the “normal” trucks of Rivian, Ford don’t sell much better.
But the Hemi if back!
Mainly because you can’t see it from the inside.
The Ford is slightly lighter, consumption is pretty well identical (identically bad) for Tesla, Ford and Rivian
Tesla Unveils Its First Fully Off-Grid Solar Supercharger Station
Tesla has launched a new Supercharger station in Lost Hills, California, that runs entirely on solar energy and battery storage. The site features 11 MW of solar panels and 10 Megapacks, making it completely independent from the power grid. Once fully completed, it will become the largest Supercharger station in the world with 168 stalls.
Now this is all very nice and dandy, but I wonder how long will it take to recover the investment, see maybe turn a profit? You’d have to place this in a very high traffic area to make it profitable - and then the land costs will kill it… Now the concept works very well here in supermarket car parks and the likes but those are far from being “independent”
