Vaccines are really necessary

RFK is a conspiratorial lunatic without government experience who is currently doing possibly irreparable damage to HHS by cutting all sorts of fundamental medical research.

Your choice of hills to die on remains remarkable.

It’s not bad per se, but it’s useless in the context of the current emergency.

So, it’s bad(ish) because it takes the attention for more important stuff. Governments need to do public communication in a clear manner, no need to waste attention on IFs. Treatment options are the jobs of doctors.

Sad

It’s amazing they have a health secretary who is not a MD, has no studies or experience in public health policies, absolutely nothing to recommend him for the job.

And…and!

Kennedy is the founder and former chairman of Children’s Health Defense, an anti-vaccine advocacy group and proponent of COVID-19 vaccine misinformation.

I mean if you invited someone literally from the streets, the odds to have a better fit would have been considerably higher!

Donnie wanted to take a competitor out of the game and get his endorsement and then his voters, he had no interest in his suitability for the job.
If RFKjr causes too many problems the he will be fired and replaced with another idiot.

As of April 17, 2025, a total of 800 confirmed* measles cases were reported by 25 jurisdictions: Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York City, New York State, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, and Washington.

Still growing but not exploding

Canada has reported more than 730 cases this year, making this one of the worst measles outbreaks in the country since it declared the virus “eliminated” in 1998. Mexico has seen at least 360 measles cases and one death, most of them in the northern state of Chihuahua, according to Mexican health authorities.

RFKjr on Fox News spreading misinformation about COVID vaccines

: “So why are we giving this to tens of millions of kids when the vaccine itself does have profound risk?”

As of May 1, 2025, a total of 935 confirmed* measles cases were reported by 30 jurisdictions

96% of the cases unvaccinated

Numbers rising but slowly

Vaccines are much safer and much cheaper than not being vaccinated and ending up in hospital and at risk of contaminating others: especially children and older people with weak immune system.

This major MAGAs fan really did tweet this more than once

I have waited 4 days for one of the regular posters in this thread to mention the FDA may limit Covid 19 vaccines to people over 65 or people at risk of serious infections https://edition.cnn.com/2025/05/20/health/covid-vaccine-fda-changes

FDA has also expands COVID 19 vaccine WARNING for young males ages 16 to 24 for both Pfizer & Moderna vaccines.

The Trump appointed anti-vaxxers making progress

Well Switzerland or the EU could easily pay to take over the project if they thought it had any merit.

From the link the US had already handed all the money to Moderna, I suppose RFKjr is hoping to get some back.

Quote from Marton not showing

I am sure it will run over multi fold, no reason why CH or the EU don’t take the project forward, if they don’t it would validate the reason for dropping the project.
